lizzy - thanx for asking - went to the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa Florida for a few days then spent a couple days in bed recovering but doing OK now - had fun at the Hard Rock but it is a lot more expensive than GDG!

Hi Blankocat,
I'll bet it was a lot more expensive.GDG is one of the cheapest
hobbies I've ever had. Glad you had a good time. The sun is finally shining
in good old England so we are off out to a local nature reserve of course
accompanied by grandchildren

Hi Phoenix13,
Nice to hear from you. How old are your grandbabies.
I have two 1 age 6years and one age 6 months. Its lovely to see them and lovely to see them go home.
My oldest granddaughter is 5 years old & in kindergarten (on the A/B Honor Roll, BTW. Very Happy ).
My grandson is almost 4 & my youngest granddaughter was born this past Christmas.

Thanks for asking, Lizzy.

Hi everyone,
The sunny English weather has continued today so we took
our 6yr old grandson to Chester Zoo. It was quite expensive and he got bored with it quickly. Kids today aren't as easy to amuse as we were.
Do any of you agree?

I was easy to amuse - give me a book and I was happy - of course, now if you give me a book I'm happy - hmmm, think there might be something to that?

Hi Blancokat,
I also love a good book. Prefer reading to watching TV.
Hope you are keeping well.

Dear Joshy,
How awful for the little fella. Its hard when thay're ill
you just wish you could do their suffering for them. They recover
quicker than we do though.
Keep smiling Lizzy

Hey - this granny had a major allergic reaction to morphine which I have been taking since 1995 when I broke my neck - after finding out I was allergic I had to go thru withdrawal from the morphine which was NOT any fun - anyway am now on other pain medication and feeling good enough to play GDG - hope everyone had a happy Easter and Joshy's little one is over the chickenpox - weather here in Florida is very warm and today was smoky because of all the wildfires - we have not had any rain in months and it is quite dry - all it takes is an idiot flicking a cigarette out of a car window and 5000 acres goes up in flames - one fire about 40 miles from us has already burned 13,000 acres - it is scary to not be able to see across the street because of smoke! I think I'll just close the curtains and play GDG!
