They brought 'my' baby to see me today.
She climbed all over me and gave me lots and lots of baby love. Smile Smile
She wallered all over me and pulled my hair then wanted my Dr. Pepper.
She gets a little bit (watered down) so I shared with her...
and she promptly laid down on me and went to sleep Smile Smile
They stayed several hours and I sure did enjoy seeing her.
She has another new tooth, a top one has come in now.

Gee, I wonder if that was their way of saying they want
to come back?

I don't know and I sure didn't ask ☺ ☺
I enjoyed it while they were here, but a little at a time will do me ☺ ☺
Mousey would do anything, or help in any way, that you asked her,
but the other one, you'd have to just say it without asking.
OH, for a couple of days, maybe a little bit longer, he's OK.
But give him two weeks (give or take a day or two) and that's it for him.
I think he's too insecure about what she'll be doing if he's working,
or gone anywhere for that matter. I think he likes drama.
But I don't care for it at all, and it makes me mad if he makes her cry.
Especially if it's about some stupid crap he dreams up.
People amaze me sometimes. A lot of people, I mean, you know Question

He is, even though I think he just had his 20th birthday.
Makes me think about when I had my only baby (long ago),
I had just turned 17 and her dad liked a month turning 18,
but we did what we had to do to have a home and money to support us.
He got a night time job, noted, I didn't work until my baby was 6 mo. old.
Then I worked night shift and went back to high school.
What has happened to kids now days?
I don't know about 'em......
maybe they'll make it......I hope so anyway.

Kids today do not have the same core values that we
were raised with. I've often wondered about the way
the world is going to turn out myself. Is this a great
big world of crazy or what...
I wonder if Lizzie is back from her vacation yet, and
if she had a nice time. I am looking forward to that.
I don't think I have ever been on a vacation. I've
been on trips to go to funerals, and someone tried
to make it into a vacation. I was like, are you kidding?
Having fun is the last thing I want to do right now.
I hope everyone here is well, safe, and happy.

I understand exactly what you're talking about.
Going to a funeral is no vacation.
I was really lucky growing up, my dad made sure that we always went
somewhere for a week in the summer. Most of the time it was to the same little town in Fla., called Juno Beach. It was on A1A, right on the ocean.
For many years we stayed in the same little motel.
Then they started tearing things down and building condos.
Once I got married and had Erika my vacations stopped Sad Smile Sad Smile
But a couple of times Mom and Dad took Allen and me somewhere with them for four or five days, I considered that a vacation.
We went with them to a golf resort in Alabama one year, it was really nice.
I wish we could have done that again this year.
But the circumstances just weren't right this year.
Sad to say...maybe another year down the road...

My oldest son told me he got deployed to Qatar. He's been
there for a few days so far. He said he will be there for 6
months. His son (in Korea) celebrated his 100th day
birthday. The Koreans do this because in the old days
babies rarely ever lived past 100 days. So, they celebrate it
like we would a yearly birthday. That's kind of a neat
tradition, isn't it...
I hope everyone is doing good, and having fun.

That's neat about the 100th day celebration,
and wonderful that babies are making it past 100 days more now.
But it's terrible that your son still hasn't got to see his son yet.
I may be as happy when he does as he is...well...almost anyway Smile Smile

I sure hope so.
I know some little ones are afraid of people they haven't seen before.
If he's as friendly and happy a baby as Kenleigh is,
it won't take him but a few minutes to warm up to his dad.
Is your son making the military his career? Or is this his last tour?
None of my business, just curious.

Well, he said he wanted to retire after doing twenty years.
So, I know he's close to that, I don't know if this will the last
time he is deployed or not. I don't know if they have a choice
in that or not.
He told me he has interacted with his son by phone and computer.
So, he knows his fathers voice, and knows who he is.
Hope everyone here is well and having fun.

I forget, sometimes, that we now live in the age of technology Smile Smile
Even Haven does 'Face Time' (whatever that is) on her iPod.
I do know that you can have conversations on the computer
and see each other while you're talking.
I don't do any of that stuff, but I know others that do.
It's good that your son and his son can interact like that.
Once upon a time when military personnel returned home,
they were strangers to their children,
especially ones that were born while they were away.

Isn't that true...all of it.
And sometimes they came home with diseases they
passed on to their children as well, or, the ones born
after they returned anyways. Like Agent Orange, and stuff
like that. Its so sad. I read in one of the VA magazines
that they had done Sarin gas testing on certain Navy ships
during the 1950's. I wonder if those people knew that stuff
was being tested on them. Its scary to think our military is
used as ginuea pigs, isn't it...
Hope everyone here is well, safe and happy.
