| Do you think GDG should remove or alter ads that seriously slow play? |

| The insurance ads run by InsWeb.com seriously slow down the games while waiting for the "15 seconds" to start play. Ads that slow down play longer than the 15 seconds specified should be altered or removed. I timed the "Find a local Auto Insurance agent in _______. Your zip code _____." ad and it took two minutes for the "15 seconds" to elapse. How do you feel about them? |

I haven't had problem with that ad since I changed to Google Chrome as my browser. I do have problems with a couple of the banner ads actually slowing down the game itself. The cursormania is one. Another is the smileys.
If I see those I just hit F5 to refresh the page until a different ad shows up. A quick fix to relieve some of the tension from having problems with ads. You could do that also when the insurance ads are there. |

| I use an ad blocker with Firefox, so I never see any ads at all. |

Jindog, are you just looking at a blank space for 15 seconds instead of an ad?

Tao,
That is exactly what I am looking at, white space. Actually it depends on the screen before me. The main screen shows white in the ad boxes, the game page shows one large white page and a small blue screen where I guess the banners fly by that seem to annoy lots of people. If you're interested in the name of the add-on it is called Ad-Blocker Plus. Kind of a 'duh' name if there ever was one.
Anyway, I have no idea what some people are complaining about when I read the forums or other comment locations unless I play on IE. Then again, since Ad-Blocker Plus can be set to allow ads or not allow ads for each site I guess I could look at ads if I wanted to. NOT. |
