I just tried to play on Firefox...all it would do is tell me
to enable cookies to log in. They are enabled.
Soooo...I tried Google Chrome...I can play and it all looks good...
except it has me starting anew on Stunt Armadillos too.
I don't understand why it would do that, it still shows my high scores.
I'm pretty sure there is something I could do to fix it,
but I'm also sure that if I attempt to do so
I'll mess something up somewhere else
Oh well...it is what it is I guess. |

Well...my good fortune at Google Chrome lasted a week.
The 'My Page' started showing that the site is down yesterday.
I can still do all of the steps of going to a friends page
and searching my name and blah, blah, blah, blah...
then I can see all of it except the 'HOME' column......
but I want to see that column too.
SO DANGED AGGRAVATING

Thanks, ConnieLea!
sorry you're having problems again.
I use Firefox's browser and have not been able to get to My Page for about 3 weeks now, but I did get to it by searching for my name. I also found it by logging in and clicking on my username.
I do get a lot of game crashes with Firefox, though. They no longer allow Flash games unless you tell them to allow it by checking that on a pop-up box. :/
The other annoying thing is that I have to keep re-logging in any time I change a Page.

I have no idea why things happen the way they do on the GDG website. It's amazing to read players' comments and see the issues various people have. So far, I'm able to do everything I try to do here but who knows how long that will last. One thing that surprises me is that now when I click the "Play" box to play a certain game, the game starts quite quickly, without the previous 30-45 second delays. This has been going on since around the first part of August. That's a nice thing. Another thing I'll mention is that the AARP website has many of the Arkadium games we have on GDG. Some games require that the player be an AARP member but most do not require that. The ads aren't nearly as obnoxious, in my opinion. I am a member of AARP. The membership fee is pretty low, at $16 per year. Here's a link: http://games.aarp.org |

marycgus, try this for the log in issue when you KNOW that you ARE already logged in,
in the score board click the treats circle then click back to the score circle.
I have found that if I do that it clears it up...
but I do have to do it every time I go to a different game page.
The way I figured it out was by going to a game that I knew I had already played,
was in the top five scores and could see my GDMEE there
but it was saying 'log in'.
I clicked the treat circle just to see if it might change...
got lucky on that issue...except for having to do it every time
Gloria, I'm registered at AARP too,
but the site is REALLY slow on my computer.
As in SO slow that I can only score around 4 or 5,000 points
on Treasure Hunt no matter how fast it seems to be clicking.
I pop in there and play a game or two every now and then.
I wish I knew why Firefox keeps telling me to enable cookies to log in.
I've checked everything it told me to and cookies SHOULD be enabled.
Just makes me |

Thanks for the IE tip...managed to switch from Chrome (which appears to have become incompatible with GDG) to Internet Explorer, and was able to access my 24 backlogged messages and send out some answers to people who said they missed me (for some reason!) Good to be back among the living players again! [/b] |

If I have helped anyone with anything I'm glad I was able to do so.
It's getting to be so aggravating to play here at GDG.
I have messages now that I can't see. I had messages
that I had saved that were important to me that I can't get to now.
Maybe I'll learn someday to move things that are important to me
somewhere that I can get to them no matter what the site does.
I know that I'll continue to play here until I absolutely can't
because this site has most of my favorite games.
There are other places to play Arkadium games,
but the places I have found move so slowly
that the scores are really low. I can't play like that.
My Yearbook (changed to MeetMe.com) had a lot of the same games
as GDG, and they played at the right speed, I played there then,
but they removed all of their games for some reason.
I really wish the powers that be (or that WAS) would fix this site.
I realize that I'm wasting wishes...but it would be nice to be able to play.
AND to be able to access all of ones info once again.
Well......it is what it is...... |
