g8rmom,I may be wrong, but weren't we already asked that question?
Not that it matters that we have or haven't been asked...
but if we have been asked and we've answered...
maybe there should be a new question or a suggestion for us.
Maybe something different than our operating system for R&D to check out.
I think it's all going to boil down to 'they're beta games'.
That means they're games being tested for problems.
(Problems like we're letting them know about)
I don't mean to sound mean (condescending) or anything...
but the problems have been going on for quite a while now, haven't they?
I'm hushing now before I get myself in trouble Embarassed Smile

Brian I use windows7/IE9---but I had been using the same thing all along and it played fine----it changed overnight I changed nothing on my computer.........I have no regular cleaner---I didnt clear anything-----and g8trmom said it doesnt work for her on chrome, firefox or ie this is strange especially since ConnieLea says hers works on IE

I just figured something had to have changed with the game since I had played day after day with no problems.

Thanks for the information, I'm passing it on to our team to update them.

I know I always say this, but I have to get it out of the way - has everyone tried clearing your cache? Since beta games get updated frequently, this could have more of an effect than usual.

Clear your cache by following these instructions, which will work for most popular browsers:
1: Open your browser, and while holding the CTRL and Shift keys on your keyboard, press the Delete key. This will make a new window appear.
2: In this window, put a check in only the box that says Cache (some browsers say "Temporary Internet Files" instead of Cache).
3: Click the Delete or Clear button at the bottom of this window.

I'm sure most of you have tried this, but it's here just in case. Thanks!

I've always been leery of deleting temporary files,
I'm always afraid of it causing me to lose stuff.

Progress in games is stored in Flash Cookies or temporary Flash storage. As long as you are just using your browser's cache-clearing functions, these areas will not be touched.

Here's instructions on how to do this:

Clear your cache by following these instructions, which will work for most popular browsers:
1: Open your browser, and while holding the CTRL and Shift keys on your keyboard, press the Delete key. This will make a new window appear.
2: In this window, put a check in only the box that says Cache (some browsers say "Temporary Internet Files" instead of Cache).
3: Click the Delete or Clear button at the bottom of this window.

Some popular cleaning software, such as CCleaner, automatically clear Flash storage data, which could cause you to lose progress in games. If you use a program like this, I would strongly recommend that you check the options before using it to make sure Flash storage/Flash cache/temporary Flash files are not being cleaned.

well the good news is I can play castiles again---the bad news is I lost all my upgrades for armadillos and I had them ALL---all five stars on each category---I had to take my computer in to repair shop because I was just getting my toolbar with a blank white screen---the repairman said it was because my IE updated to version 11---he switched it back to 9--plus cleared out viruses-----now I can play castiles again but will have a couple months before I get back all my upgrades on armadillos
By the way, Brian--I had the technician put in firefox for me, but cannot play castiles on that--it tells me to download flash

I'm not sure why he told you it was because of an update for IE 11, but I'm sure it could have been...but that is what I'm running.
I may need to cross my fingers and hope nothing goes wrong here Smile Smile
Glad you're back to playing the beta games...
but so sad Sad Sad that you lost your progress on SA.

ConnieLea, yes, I thought I remembered you saying you use IE11 - but thats what the repairman said--in fact he said a number of people have brought their pcs in with the same problem---but it happened right after the update so if you have been using IE11 for a while I dont think you need to worry--also,-I notice you can use the reply button in the comments whereas most ppl with IE cant.

I always had to make a new comment if I wanted to say anything.
I don't remember when it was that it started allowing me to reply.
And I also don't remember when it was that I upgraded to IE 11...

larkspar, there are times when it doesn't seem like the game is going to load for me...like it's lagging or something.
I wish it would fix itself on your computer so that you could play.
I know that you like this game an awful lot.
