the fact that there are no scores on this game should be a hint to the RD dept that it is not working ----I played but there is no exit and the rules were not clear to me. No way to get a final score. AND the bots were taking extra turns....... Confused

larkspar, what is triple topper Question Question
I must have missed a game somehow.
I thought I went to the beta games at least once a day.
But if this was there I must have not looked...at least one day.

I'm not sure it was even there a full day. It was probably Monday of this week (maybe Tues.) I went out the beta games. It was there & I played it; what a mess! I then went to play Two-fisted Typing & when I was done; my score wasn't registering. There were only 3 other people who had played; so I played again. Nothing. I then went back out to Beta Games main menu & it & Triple Topper were gone. GDG must have realized Triple Topper was a LONG WAY from being ready for beta. (Putting on my cynical hat now...) It's just another example of GDG's poor testing procedures.

I clicked to go to the link and had a box pop up
telling me there was a risk to run a download for that site
and any time it showed again it would be blocked.
Needless to say I x'd out the box, read the info and got off of that page.
I don't think that I'd like Triple Topper anyway.
Not from the way it sounded from the info.

Yes, Connie, the link was simply background info on the card game that arkadium was going to release in flash. The game was designed in JAVA, but Arkadium wouldn't beta test it unless it was converted to flash. I'm not sure what 'download' your computer was talking about, as it was just a blog post on a persons website. Maybe your computer has an outdated java platform, and was trying to update it to decypher the newer java script.

It could've been, krazykop.Though it is supposed to update automatically.
But,then again, when does anything do what's supposed to be done? Smile Smile

Java does not update automatically...it searches for newer versions automatically, but MUST ask your permission in order to INSTALL the newer version. This is a security measure built into the JAVA platform to keep user's systems from being compromised.

From the JAVA website:
Quote:

What is Java Auto Update? How does automatic update work?
Java Update is a feature that keeps your Windows computer up-to-date with the latest Java releases. When you have auto update enabled, your system periodically checks for new versions of Java. When a new version is found we ask your permission to upgrade your Java installation.

So, in order to keep up to date on the latest JAVA, you'll need to accept the install or your computer will not update.

Yes,it does give me a box that says there's a new version of Java
Nine (well, maybe eight) times out of ten I do the download.
Sometimes I just don't have time to wait on it,
though it really doesn't take very long to download.
