Subzeeee,
Now that I've heard Elvis and saw the Hawaii video, I've rummaged in my
old trunk and dug out the coconuts and grass skirt.
WHEEEEEE. Aloha-ay, Aloha-ee, [plays more hawaiian music]
Only Problem: Hubs thinks I've lost my mind. Again. . . .
E! |

Yee hoo. Is that what is known as 'shaking one's tail feathers?'
Aloha means the same thing whether you are coming or going. Isn't the Hawaiian language fun? I can't imagine someone saying "Aloha, and don't come back knocking on the door either." or "Aloha, and good riddance." |

Dear Sublime, Tao, and all others-
I would like to specifically address how "this" started---And believe me, it's never been anything close to a clique...more like an extension of family.
I commented to LittleGranny: "I am only 48 years old and I have no grandparents, or more importantly, NO parents for that matter --- and I adore and admire anyone older than myself, and what they have to say."
GotGrace saw that and replied to me- "I am only old enough to be your big sister, how does that work for you?!!!!!! "
Sublime replied -"Oh, I could be your older sister too."
ME- "Thanks gals! I now am happy to have 2 new big sisters! I extend the invitation to others to join the "sisterhood", or "siblingville" if any gents are interested."
(Got Grace-You're Famous Now posts)
From there it picked up on page 12 of Clean Jokes (some in "Getting old", and who knows where else?!)- where everyone who posted was added , in what I consider some of the most delightful, loving pages in this forum of late. Touched my heart beyond words, and Sublime your graphics to go along are priceless. It was mainly just a cute way to pull those of us in the forums into a "family".
Sublime- I can't imagine this being anymore of a clique than "Grannies Playing Games" and I'm sorry you are questioning yourself, and your postings. Please don't stop being the delightful, colorful, uplifting gal I've grown to love.
Additionally, Tao- I know it's very hard to find things here but after you posted "out of sight , out of mind" regarding your busy life keeping you from daily postings... I responded:
"Dear Tao-
I'm sure everyone else agrees with me... there's no way that your not being able to post due to your busy schedule- would ever mean "out of mind". You play an important role in this forum, and I think the world of you. As Elcelcpa mentioned above, your ability to bring peace to the forum (when things got a bit feisty) is a gift. Thanks for being you, and whenever you can pop in here, you have alot to contribute . I look forward to any posts you can offer in your limited spare time, and wish you a wonderful summer as well! "
El-"MamaV: Nicely said!
Taokeema: DITTO what mamavan said!! "
Tao- you were already in our group of buddies before you knew it! |

This is getting WAY more exposure than it needs to. There already is a clique here, it's call Great Day Games forum pages and if someone is fortunate enough to wander down to the bottom of the game page and click on the link that says 'forum' they automatically are accepted. Anybody that thinks they no longer belong here, are not accepted, not wanted, can't post here are just full of their own stuff. It is all about having fun and chatting as best we can, even if occasionally there is a little blow back. That is called life and life happens, get used to it. 'Nuff Said!!!!!!!
Oh I forgot there is a rule to join, ya gotta conga. |
