|
|
Aggravation is starting to be my middle name when I play on this site.
I have tried 3 times to play Stunt Armadillos...
and 3 times I have been shut down
I clicked the regular 'PLAY' button 2 out of 3 times.
Once I hit the refresh by right clicking my mouse.
The game starts slowing down, then I get a huge ' ' and no more game.
Or I get a pop up box at the bottom of the page saying IE had to shut down.
This happens in some other games randomly, but none as often as S A.
EGGZ BLAST plays so slow that I can hardly ever get a good score.
I HATE to complain about this site,
it's always been one of my favorite sites, with a lot of my favorite games.
But it's getting more and more aggravating each time I play.
Forgive me for a post that is nothing but a complaint...but I had to rant
As I have said before, it is what it is...and I'll keep trying to play...
for as long as I can...I just wish it would straighten up and fly right. |

I know exactly how you feel. I love playing here but I get frustrated trying to play the Score game. I want to play it but it is so slow that I just can't handle that. Most of the games work okay. Some of the games don't keep the correct score. I don't guess anything will be done though. |

I have played 4 games tonight and they all are moving
so slow that I'm surprised I got any scores.
It just told me to go play somewhere else for a while.
Maybe it'll be better later.
I'm not even going to attempt to play Stunt Armadillos now. |

I have attempted to play Stunt Armadillos 4 times tonight,
4 times I have been shut down
Looks like I won't be playing it for now.
I could go to Google Chrome to play but I have no progress there.
It's like I've never played the game at all.
Oh well...............it su#ks |

It's too bad you're having such a bad experience, ConnieLea. Sounds awfully frustrating. I've heard you say that Stunt Armadillos is one of your favorite games. You're probably experiencing Armadillo Withdrawal. I wonder if that has a diagnostic code in the International Classification of Diseases. Really, I suppose the only thing to do is try it once a week or so, to limit your aggravation but still seeing if anything has improved.
And by the way, if you can't vent about these games here, then where could you vent? I don't think anyone would criticize you for that.
Take it easy and find some other game to play in the meantime. |

I checked to see if a person could play Stunt Armadillos elsewhere and came up with the CNN games site. http://games.cnn.com/arcade-games |

Gloria, I checked out the site you found.
Unfortunately it runs as slow on my computer as this one does
Tonight I can't play anything on here.
The games are moving so slow there's no chance of getting a decent score.
I tried EGGZ BLAST and SCORE, now I give up for tonight
Maybe better luck after daylight. |

The site is running so slow for me today that I can't play.
I played Treasure Hunt once and it was so slow my score never came up.
I played Space Hunt and the minutes ticked off before I could click anything.
Unfortunately I am not patient enough to wait it out when it's like that.
Sooo...I'll just try again later on. |

ConnieLea, I thought I was having problems with my computer when I couldn't get any plays to "register" or connect as usual. It was only when I went to another game site that I realized it wasn't my computer after all. Maybe Santa could come and clear out some of the cobwebs. So are you finishing up your Christmas plans? I finished wrapping gifts tonight and started cleaning the frig. One of our sons will be arriving Mon from California so that is a happy event to anticipate. Will you be spending time with extended family this week? I hope so. |

I wonder if I had a brand new computer vs this one,
would it make a difference in how GDG runs
Gloria, it would have to be Santa, or someone, to tidy up my computer.
I'm always afraid I'll delete (wipe out) something that is needed.
With my hubby away, I'm surprised it hasn't crashed or something.
Cleaning it will be a time consuming chore when he gets to come home.
Our Christmas will be similar to our Thanksgiving, though we will get to see
my niece and 2 nephews (brothers kids) for a few hours on Christmas day.
Those 3, my daughter, my son in law, my granddaughter,
my mom and I will spend the afternoon on Christmas day
having sub sandwiches, dessert and exchanging gifts.
But as I've said, we're all reasonably healthy, we have love and food
and roofs over our heads, that's more than some people have now
and we're thankful for all that we do have
even while we're missing some loved ones
(for whatever reason they're absent).
I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Christmas
filled with love and happiness and shared with those you love. |

svenni, I don't know what you wanted to say,
all that is showing is that you were going to reply to me with a quote. |

ConnieLea, I do admire your attitude about being grateful for having the necessities of life. Sometimes I think television and ads cause people to want things they really don't need and will cast aside fairly soon if they do get it somehow. That's how capitalism works, to create a sense of need for the products being manufactured. When you have enough to eat, a roof over your head, and even a little fun in your life, along with having people around who love you -- anything more than that is just extra.
Our son arrived tonight. Tomorrow I have a long work day (13 hours and then the paperwork!) but after that I'll be able to ask him some of my tech questions. If you have anything specific you'd like to know about, I'd ask him and then tell you what he said. One thing he emphasizes is not to open anything that you aren't positive about. Even someone who is your friend might send you some attachment and not realize that something nefarious is "traveling along" with it that can really slow down your computer. So we tend to enclose information within the body of an email rather than use attachments, unless there really is no other way. There are anti-virus packages that are almost worthless. Others take up so much of your hard drive that they aren't desirable. Some have a sneaky little question during the download that you don't notice but they're asking your permission to get lots of information from you as you use your computer. I'm getting too "long-winded" here so I'll close for now. Merry Christmas! |
