How hard is it to separate guest from players that know how to play? Would make it less stressful for us loyal players if you would do that. I know this is not the first time someone has asked this question. |

I think he is talking about multi player pool. That might be a good idea to have a choice of tables when you enter - one beginner table and maybe a higher level table after you have won on the beginner table. |

Isn't the regular pool game good for people to practice on? I would think it's played the same way, only against the computer |

Yes you are right. They are played the same way. The difference is in multi player you sometimes get unregistered players (guests) who either quit mid way through a game, or just don't seem to know what to do, or just delay the game, etc. Especially on 10x day it gets frustrating having an opponent waste your time. I don't play it much so I don't know how often it happens but it is a consistent discussion topic in the comments there. |

As often as it has been discussed the answer always seems to be that GDG isn't set up to do the choosing partners or rooms thing.
I'm a dummy when it comes to how things are done on computers,
so I wouldn't even start to guess how hard it would be to make it that way.
It could be that since GDG doesn't have very many multi player games,
and it's been said that when they make changes it affects the whole site,
so that it wouldn't be to their advantage to do a change for those games.
I don't know if I'm anywhere close to being right or not.
Just giving something else to think about. |
