I GUESS THIS IS WHERE GENERAL QUESTIONS SHOULD GO
SINCE IT'S NOT ANYTHING TECHNICAL.
I HAVE BEEN SAVING SOME MESSAGES IN MY 'IN' BOX AND IN MY 'SENT MESSAGES' BOX.
TONIGHT WHEN I WENT TO 'MY' PAGE ALL EXCEPT 1 OF MY 'IN' BOX MESSAGES AND ALOT OF MY 'SENT MESSAGES' WERE GONE
I HAVEN'T SEEN ANYWHERE THAT THERE WAS A LIMIT ON HOW MANY WE COULD SAVE OR FOR HOW LONG OR THAT ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY WERE GOING TO BE GONE.
IF I HAD KNOWN I MIGHT WOULD HAVE GONE THROUGH ALL OF THEM AND WEEDED OUT SOME THAT WERE LESS IMPORTANT TO ME THAN OTHERS
BUT I DIDN'T KNOW AND HAVEN'T SEEN ANY WARNING ABOUT IT...
SO IT CAME AS A COMPLETE SURPRISE AND SHOCK TO ME TO SEE ALMOST EMPTY BOXES
HAS ANYONE ELSE THAT DID/DOES SAVE THEIRS HAD THIS HAPPEN |

I, too, had never deleted any of my inbox or sent messages since the program started to allow us to communicate with other gamers. After I read your post this morning, I went to check on my personal page, and found that the only messages, both in my inbox and sent box, were those of the past month, (4 in my inbox, and 3 in my sent box).
While this is not an earth shattering situation, I did like the idea of going back to refresh my memory of what had transpired in my conversations with a certain gamer over a period of time to not appear redundant with a question or comment. I guess now I'll have to resort to my own memory retention. Still, it would have been nice on GDM's part to alert us through the forums that they were going to implement this change. Uh-oh, silly me......they never alert us to ANY changes! |

Thanks, ConnieLea, for the heads up. And just like TripleB did, I also checked my "mailbox" and you are right. The mailbox has been cleaned up. I was keeping my inbox and sent messages just like you and sometimes I would read them again. There have been so many changes lately that I don't know what to think. |

MAN OH MAN...I HATE TO RELY ON MY MEMORY...
SOMETIMES I SUFFER FROM THE CRS DISORDER.
(That's 'can't remember s-h-*-t')
I WONDER IF ANYONE WILL BE KIND ENOUGH TO ADVISE US OF
HOW MANY MSGS WE CAN KEEP,
OR IF THE CLEAN UPS ARE IN RELATION TO HOW LONG WE CAN KEEP THEM,
OR BOTH...OR IF THEY'LL LET US KNOW ANYTHING
AND I ABSOLUTELY AND TOTALLY AGREE WITH......
AND I'LL ADD THIS......
BUT NONE OF IT WILL CHANGE THE FACT THAT MY MSGS ARE GONE
STILL......
HAPPY GAMING Y'ALL |

ConnieLea, in reply to your earlier wondering on how many messages you can keep the answer is rather simple: As many as the BIG DELETE BUTTON at Arkadium Headquarters allows. Sorry if I can't help you with the exact number. I never was all that good at math.
Be seeing you and a good Happy to ya!
Yee haww!!!! |

It's been soooo long since I've heard/seen you
How the heck are you
(I could go on & on & on & on......where ya been, what 'cha been doin'?)
But I thought if I did you might think I was some kinda stalker
or that I was being nosey...or something like that anyway.
Glad to hear/see you here in the forums.
Hope you've been having a wonderful summer.
CATCH YA LATER.
HAPPY GAMING |
